Maltese Athletes competing in the British Karate Open Championships 2018
This weekend, two athletes from the Shotokan Karate School of Malta will be representing SKSM in the Karate British Open in London, England.
These Championships are recognized as being amongst the biggest Events organized in England under the World Union Karate-Do Federations (WUKF), where the attendance of more than 20 countries is expected. The two SKSM athletes, Mauro Mifsud and Kelvin Vella will be accompanied by their coach and SKSM representative Mr Chris Galea. This is the first experience abroad for Mifsud while at the same time also the first Championships abroad for both athletes after their participation in the International Championships held in Malta last Month at the Cottonera Sports Complex – The Malta Open 2018 where more than 530 athletes from 21 different countries have participated.
While wishing all the best for the Malta team, we congratulate and encourage all SKSM athletes for their continuous success both locally and abroad.
